How to use SleepSpec

Your last 1–2 hours, made warmer.

Put SleepSpec on as your wind-down begins. Keep watching, scrolling, reading or working. Take them off at lights-out.

Three steps. No new evening routine.

01

Put them on

Wear SleepSpec 1–2 hours before bed, particularly around screens and bright indoor lighting.

02

Keep your evening

Read, watch TV, scroll or work as usual. The view becomes distinctly amber, while screens and text remain usable.

Take them off

Remove them at lights-out and return them to the hard case until the next evening.

What to expect

Yes, the view really is amber.

The strong colour is intentional. Blue and blue-green light is reduced, warmer light passes through, and the whole scene shifts towards sunset tones.

SleepSpec is not a medical device. Individual sleep results vary, so use them consistently before deciding how well they fit your routine.

Make the most of them

Small adjustments, calmer light.

Dim what you can

Lower bright overhead lighting and choose warmer lamps when practical. The glasses handle the lens filtering; a dimmer room supports the same evening direction.

Keep daylight for daytime

SleepSpec is made for pre-sleep use. Daytime light helps keep the body clock aligned, so deep-amber lenses are not intended for all-day wear.

Clean them gently

Use the supplied microfibre cloth, or mild soap and lukewarm water. Avoid paper towels, abrasive materials and harsh chemicals.

Wear them directly

The current frame is not a fit-over model and is designed to sit directly on the face. SleepSpec does not currently offer prescription lenses.

Useful answers

Can I wear them for longer than two hours?

You can put them on earlier if that suits your evening, but the intended routine is the final 1–2 hours before bed.

Can I use a device night mode as well?

Yes. A warmer screen setting can make the display more comfortable, but it does not replace the measured filtration of the lens.

Can I drive while wearing them?

No. The deep-amber tint can change how traffic lights and other signals appear. SleepSpec is intended for indoor evening use.
